Position Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineering Intern to join our R&D team. This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates who are passionate about mechanical design, product development, and hands-on engineering work. The intern will support the design and development of mechanical systems, components, and prototypes while gaining real-world industry experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and modifying 3D CAD models and engineering drawings
- Support mechanical design, prototyping, and testing activities
- Work with engineers to develop innovative mechanical solutions
- Prepare technical documentation, BOMs, and design reports
- Participate in product development meetings and design reviews
- Conduct basic engineering calculations and analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing and quality
- Help troubleshoot mechanical issues during prototype and testing phases
Required Skills and Experience
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or Fusion 360
- Basic understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks
- Prior internship, project, or hands-on lab experience is a plus
